CME has just announced the release of version 2.0 firmware for their VX Series MIDI keyboards and version 1.10 firmware for U-Key keyboards.
Major changes resulting from the version 2.0 firmware upgrade include:
- F1-F8 knobs can be used to store eight different preset parameters. This makes live shows easier and slicker.
- Users can rename the F1-F8 functions, making it easier to recall them.
- The update adds a User Bank automatic memory function.
- It also adjusts the MIDI Route, making it easier to control external devices.
- Octave and transpose buttons can be used in the automatic confirmation mode.
- It adds a “Turn Off” function for program changes.
- It adds “Manually Save” and “Manually Switch” User Bank functions.
The major changes of the U-Key version 1.10 firmware compared with the produced units include:
- New velocity curves for the drum pads.
- Fixes for all of the known bugs and glitches.
- Improved system stability.
