If you are a fan of the Paul Reed Smith Custom 24 model, but want something even a bit more special, then you must check out the guitars that just arrived: The Limited Edition Bodega Bay Custom 24. Only 40 of these magnificent guitars will be built, and special features include the astounding new PRS 1957/2008 pickups; volume, push-pull tone, and 3-way pickup selector controls; a figured birds-eye maple top, mahogany back, and Peruvian mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The finish is a beautiful Violin Amber Sunburst, which highlights the striking mammoth ivory bird inlays on the fretboard.
Bodega Bay is a shallow, rocky inlet of the Pacific Ocean 68 miles north of San Francisco on the coast of northern California in the United States, and was the setting of 1963 Alfred Hitchcock film, The Birds. Given that this guitar has a birdseye maple top and bird inlays on the fingerboard, the connection is obvious.
