RME has released version 2.1 firmware for the Micstacy 8-channel microphone preamp and A/D converter. The new version adds an assignable test oscillator, a “Display Dark” mode for stage use. Both these features can be controlled via MIDI. Updates may require hardware modification and may not be free of charge.

Steinberg has released version 1.5 of the HALion Symphonic Orchestra for VST. the new version supports both 64-bit and 32-bit editions of Windows Vista, as well as VST Expressions for enhanced handling of large sample libraries.
