With the release of Apple‘s Mac OS X version 10.6 (Snow Leopard), compatibility and update reports have started coming in:
Antares has released new versions of all their products that are Snow Leopard compatible.
MOTU says that most of their applications have already been made Snow Leopard compatible. The only exception listed is Ethno, which will be compatible soon. Snow Leopard updaters are now (or soon to be) available, with 64-bit support said to be on the way. MOTU also has Snow Leopard-compatible drivers ready for their FireWire/USB2 audio interfaces, FireWire video interfaces, PCI-424 audio interfaces, and USB MIDI interfaces.
The Apogee One user guide states Snow Leopard compatibility.
Digidesign users should wait to upgrade until Snow Leopard support is confirmed.
TASCAM driver updates will be available soon.
Class-compliant interfaces from PreSonus, such as the Firebox, Inspire1394, FirePod, and AudioBox USB will work fine under Snow Leopard. Beta drivers are being released for the FireStudio family and the StudioLive 1642; “official” drivers for those interfaces will be available soon. Studio One has been confirmed compatible
Ableton Live seems compatible, but it is not officially supported yet. Upgrades are on the way for Live 8 and Live 7.
Native Instruments products seem compatible, but caution is urged.
Propellerheads have confirmed their products are compatible, but they may have minor graphics issues.
Sibelius has been confirmed compatible, an update is available.
Apple Logic Studio — confirmed compatible.
