Roland announced the latest member of the Jupiter family with the more compact, lightweight, and gig-friendly Jupiter 50. The Jupiter 50 includes many of the features of the Jupiter 80, such as over 1,500 SuperNATURAL synth tones, 70 SuperNATURAL acoustic sounds, Behavior Modeling, up to 2,560 Live Sets, intuitive color-coded buttons and sliders, 128 user Registrations, USB MIDI, USB thumb drive playback of audio files, a 76-note weighted keyboard, and more. The Jupiter 50 includes the identical analog components and studio-quality D/A converter as are found in its big brother, the Jupiter 80, yet it weighs in at a svelte 24 pounds and is substantially slimmer in profile.
