Alesis announced the iO Mix, a 4-channel mixer/recorder for iPad at Musikmesse. iO Mix turns your iPad into a portable studio with four combi XLR-1/4″ input channels and stereo balanced-1/4″ outputs. Each channel offers phantom power, and front-panel trim, gain, pan, and low and high EQ controls. A Direct Monitor switch provides latency-free monitoring, while a switchable limiter protects against clipping. A video output is also included — ideal for presentations, workshops, corporate events, and for displaying visuals behind a band onstage. iO Mix is compatible with Garageband or any Core Audio-compatible iOS app.
