VISE

Acronym for Visual Installer Setup Environment. VISE is a software product offered by MindVision to other software developers to use as a tool and interface to install software products. Generally it works as an application that runs, which performs a variety of tasks involved in the installation of a software product. Quite often this includes putting different pieces of software in different places on a drive (extensions in the extensions folder, control panels in the CP folder, etc.), but may also include decompressing and/or decrypting data as well as assembling data from smaller files (like those on floppy disks) into the larger whole file. For the most part all of this is supposed to be transparent to the user, though user interaction may sometimes be required at some steps.
