A Macintosh program that enables the user to select and configure printers and other network devices, including enabling different network zones. AppleTalk can be turned on and off from within the Chooser even though much of its configuration is controlled from the AppleTalk control panel. As of Mac OS X the Chooser is extinct as its functionality is built right in to the operating system.
