MARCAD

An acronym for “MAximum Ratio Combining Audio Diversity.” This is Shure’s patented variation on a True Diversity wireless audio reception system. In a normal True Diversity system the wireless receiver constantly polls two antennas and automatically switches to the one with the strongest signal. MARCAD instead adds both antenna signals together to create a single output signal, a process called “dynamic vector.” The result is improved reception and greater freedom from dropouts. MARCAD is available on Shure UC, LX and UT Series.
