An action that enlarges (zooms in on) or shrinks (zooms out from) the display in a progam’s window. A magnifying glass and zoom controls in the lower left and upper right corners of windows are common tools for zooming tasks; as are “view” menu selections for zooming in and out. Some programs also offer key commands for zooming.
