Engineer slang for a common “starting point” setting for the 1176 compressor. The name is taken from an ad for the popular carbonated beverage that suggested it should be consumed at 10 o’clock, 2 o’clock, and 4 o’clock.
Many engineers found that placing the 1176’s attack control at 10 o’clock, the release at 2 o’clock, and the ratio at 4:1 yields excellent results. The input and output controls should be adjusted to taste. Try it!
