A type of PAR lamp measuring 4-3/4 inches in diameter. (PAR lamp diameter can be derived by dividing the PAR number by eight; in this case, 38/8 gives us 4-3/4 inches.) PAR 38 lamps have standard power ratings of 75, 100, and 150 watts and are available with 110-volt or 220-volt ratings.
