A connector designed to interface a device with a dock or docking station, or another device that has a mating connector. A great example of a dock connector is the 30-pin dock connector found on iOS devices such as the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, which can be used to connect to power supplies as well as a variety of accessories such as audio interfaces and MIDI interfaces.
