We’ve been hearing from a few readers that they are having problems with the timing accuracy of metronomes played using the internal sound capabilities of Macs (Sound Manager).
For best performance, we recommend using MIDI for a metronome rather than Sound Manager. Tech Support at Mark Of the Unicorn verifies that there is a problem with Sound Manager and metronomes; they also concur on our recommendation of using a MIDI metronome as a solution.
