Miking an Accordion to go wireless

After all these years of helpful Tech Tips, finally we get to tackle miking the accordion.

“Do you know of a wireless system to mic up an accordion?”

Since you will need two microphones, one for the bass and one for the treble side, the best thing you can do is connect the two microphones to something like AKG’s B 29 L. The B 29 L is a small battery operated phantom power supply and mixer that can operate one or two microphones (it can attach to your belt or in your pocket, etc). Then connect the B 29 to a body pack transmitter and you’re off to the races. Other than this insider tip, the rest is basic a wireless configuration! Call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer for their recommendation of microphones, body pack and receiver.
