Q: I’ve got a Glyph Portagig drive that I use with my Macbook Pro via FireWire. It works fine until I add an audio interface. Then the power light comes on, but it never mounts on the desktop. Any suggestions?
A: More than likely, sufficient bus power is not reaching the drive. Try powering it up with its power supply.
You can also try putting the drive first in the chain, then the interface; then try the opposite, with the interface first in the chain, then the drive. One arrangement may work better than the other.
