Focusrite has gone back in time and recreated the modules from their famed Forte consoles of the mid-80s. While it appears that it won’t be available for a while, Forte features software models of the classic ISA110 EQ and ISA130 Dynamics module featuring compressor, de-esser and noise gate, with a clear, intuitive user interface. The Forte plug-in will takes advantage of Digidesign’s new Accel processing card in Pro Tools|HD systems. While Focusrite is merely showing the product here at AES, they suggest that it will be available “soon”. In other words, more details to follow.
