Swappable quick-change components
The Sound Devices A20-HH features a calibrated CD1 dynamic capsule, delivering a smooth, vocal-tailored sound that is 100% consistent from unit to unit. This wireless handheld transmitter also natively accommodates third-party mic capsules, whether they require Shure or Sennheiser-style threads, by simply flipping its capsule collar. By default, the A20-HH boasts a streamlined design with a multicolor status LED and no external buttons or switches. However, you can purchase optional control rings to equip the mic with various combinations of buttons and switches with user-configurable functions. Additionally, you can swap out the A20-HH’s body shell for one with a custom design or color.
Straightforward remote control
The A20-HH includes built-in NexLink functionality, allowing live sound engineers to take full remote control of the mic from the front of house. With NexLink, you can change frequencies and even fully power up and down all the transmitters in your system with the push of a button. Additionally, the A20-HH features GainForward technology, eliminating the need for gain controls on the wireless transmitter or receiver. Instead, you adjust the mic’s gain using your console’s trim, just like with a traditional wired microphone, with no loss in headroom or noise performance.
