Vocal Effects and Samples Right in Your Hand
The Teenage Engineering EP–2350 FX–MIC puts effects and samples right in your hand, so you can transform your voice and fire off sound cues without ever reaching for a mixer. Four built-in effects sit a button press away, and the modulation handle lets you shape their intensity in real time. Additionally, four sample slots ride alongside the effects, ready to drop a horn blast or a round of applause at exactly the right moment. Beyond that, the FX–MIC is lo-fi by design, trading pristine fidelity for character that carries through onstage, on a stream, or on a track. What's more, it plugs straight into an EP–133 K.O. II (sold separately) or your mixer, so it fits right into your current setup. You also get the freedom to load your own sounds and build custom effect presets from your computer. More of a handheld sound-design rig than a traditional microphone, Sweetwater's most adventurous sonic shapers agree that the FX-MIC is built to inspire creativity.

Effects that move with your performance
The orange side button cycles through the FX–MIC’s four effect presets plus a dry setting, so you can jump from a clean announcement to a robotic chant mid-phrase. Push the handle to dial in more or less effect as you perform, sweeping an echo with the same hand that holds the mic. Depending on the preset, a quick shake temporarily bends the sound for a glitchy accent or a splash of reverb. And because everything happens directly on the mic, the effects become part of the performance instead of something tucked away on a mixer channel.

Trigger your own sounds on cue
The white button chooses between four sample slots, and the gray button plays the selected sound. Out of the box, you'll find a horn, applause, a ringside bell, and a censor beep that temporarily mutes the mic. Swapping in your own sounds only requires a USB-C cable and a few WAV files that can be easily dropped onto the FX–MIC’s onboard disk. Each slot can also play as a one-shot, play only while held, or start and stop a loop. Your signature drops and stingers travel with the mic, ready whenever needed.
Design your own effect chains
A single configuration file on the FX–MIC’s disk defines how it sounds and responds, and editing it lets you redesign every preset. Written in JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), each preset chains distortion, delay, reverb, ring modulation, harmony, EQ, highpass and lowpass filters, and more, in whatever order you choose. You can assign parameters to the handle, to motion, or to a low-frequency oscillator (LFO) with sine, square, sawtooth, and random shapes. Bus routing adds parallel paths, so a dry signal remains clean while a copy gets distorted. Put together, the FX–MIC turns your voice into an instrument you can play and reshape on the fly.

Teenage Engineering: serious gear, playful design
From its studio in Stockholm, Sweden, Teenage Engineering dreams up instruments, speakers, and innovative gear for musicians who'd rather twist knobs and follow their ears than dig through menus. It all started with the OP-1, a portable synthesizer that debuted at NAMM in 2010 and won over musicians with its playful look and deep sound-shaping capabilities. That same thinking now runs through a catalog of synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, mixers, portable speakers, and more. Every product takes shape under the company's own roof, and the Teenage Engineering spirit is alive in each instrument: serious engineering wrapped in approachable minimalism, inviting you to pick it up and start making music.
