Overdrive and Autowah Awesomeness in One Pedal

Odds are that you've never played a pedal quite like the Dreadbox Kinematic compressor/filter pedal. By combining a compressor, overdrive, and envelope filter into a single stompbox, Dreadbox has created an all-in-one solution for attaining thick, saturated tones along with funk-infused autowah that reacts beautifully to your playing. It all starts with the onboard 2-way toggle that lets you choose between Comp Color or Env Filter modes. The Comp Color mode toggles on the Kinematic's compressor, with the Filter knob acting as a frequency boost and the Envelope knob controlling the ratio. When paired with the Drive control, the Comp Color side is perfect for dialing in subtle overdriven textures as well as face-melting fuzz. Sweetwater players can't get enough of the Env Filter mode, which is capable of turning the Kinematic into an awesome autowah machine. In this mode, the Filter knob controls the lowpass filter, while the Envelope knob controls the sensitivity of the autowah. This incredible pedal also features a trio of patch points to integrate seamlessly with your favorite modular synth rigs. All it takes is one session with this pedal to understand its incredible versatility — kick it on, tweak the knobs, switch between modes, and let your creativity fly free!

Dreadbox Kinematic Compressor/Filter Effect Pedal Features:

  • Compressor, overdrive, and envelope filter in a single stompbox

  • Filter knob acts as frequency boost in Comp Color mode and lowpass filter control in Env Filter mode
  • Envelope knob controls the ratio in Comp Color mode and autowah sensitivity in Env Filter mode

What a cool little box
I love this thing.

I was looking for something to process my snare drum sound on my DrumBrute and I saw the drum machine video featured above.

This gives me an amazing range of sounds out of one snare. The more I play with it, the more I find it can do. It's a really cool addition to a drum machine.
