This is a great passive DI. I purchased this during the sale period around the holidays.

I'm currently using the PDIS to smooth out the digital harshness of my Vox Continental 73 (also purchased at sweetwater by my mom, was our first sweetwater purchase).

Nothing magical in the box — just some carnhill transformers to help smooth out transients, add some saturation and breadth to the signal when you send a signal in hot.

I'm taking the XLR outputs into the mic pres on channels 1,2 of my SSL Big six. I have the thru outputs going into stereo channels 5,6 on the mixer just for comparison. Previously had my patchbay in half normal as a means of comparison and definitely prefer the signal through the PDIS.

I like that there are two throughputs for each input. I can't wait to run some active bass through this DI and also to get some amp heads and speaker cabinets so that I can mic them up and record them with my 545sd, SM7B and Sony C100.

I'm not sure if this is a new product or not but I have a pretty low serial number so that's cool! Actually even lower than on a product I pre-ordered.

Could just be low production in this particular product or I got an early stock!

ow, I was blown away by this box, WE at Grupo Love Secreto have high quality pre amps and expensive gear. It made no sense to run our instruments thru cheap D.I.s This thing has a great sound and really makes a difference in quality. I strongly recommend this product compared to the other D.I.s in the market. If you are serious about recording, then you should own a couple of these things.

I went in search of a pro quality stereo di when I was finishing my pedalboard build. To me, It didn't make much sense to spend all that time and thousands of dollars crafting a tone only to run it through a $ DI (likely has a $ transformer in it) that the venu has laying around. It is a little tall to fit under a Pedaltrain JR Max. Another cool feature is that the throughs on the back can be used as inputs because they are before the transformer. I plug into through 1 and out the XLR and it make all my connections nice and clean.
