Strings Optimized for Your Les Paul

A tireless inventor, Les Paul looked at the electric guitar differently than most. Once he perfected the Les Paul guitar, he shifted his focus to creating strings to complement the famous guitar. He worked closely with Gibson to develop Les Paul Premium strings. These strings have a hex-shaped steel core. Next, a pure nickel wrap wire is added to the core. Nickel adds a warm tone with an incredibly smooth feel. Les spec’d every part of these strings, all the way down to the silk-wrapped ends. Guitar players at Sweetwater especially favor the silk ends because they drastically cut down on unwanted ambient noise. With these strings on your Les Paul, you'll be treated to a tone that's perfect for your guitar.

Gibson Les Paul Premium Strings Features:

  • Custom-tailored strings for Les Paul guitars
  • Developed and approved by Les Paul himself
  • Pure nickel wrap wire delivers a warm and smooth tone
  • Silk-wrapped ends prevent ambient noise
  • Hex-shaped steel core wire ensures tight, even wraps

Ultra lite gauge

GIBSON SEG-LES10 STRINGSI
I had a setup and a bone nut fitted on my Les Paul Standard. I had to buy a new set of strings for the setup. I chose the Gibson SEG-LES10 Premium strings. All I can say is WOW !!! Along with the setup the strings are GREAT! The guitar almost plays itself. LOL I have tried some other strings but so far these are my favorites.

Wonderful Strings
Really impressed with these. Very clear and pure tone. They are especially strong in the midrange. But they sound beautiful with my 1959 Les Paul burst. Quite easy to bend the strings. Think of the clarity of the NYXL's but with a more balanced and coherent midrange. Very good.

Great strings.
I've been using the Gibson Vintage Reissue Pure Nickel strings for many years. Many times tried other strings only to return to the Gibson strings in a short period of time. Having tried these new Gibson SEG-LES10 strings I was quite surprised to find a string that was even better than the Gibson Vintage Reissue Pure Nickel. I've strung my Gibson Les Paul with P90's and my Gibson CS 336 and am totally impressed with the tone. Just a slightly rolled off highs and gently pushed mids make these a totally remarkable set of strings. I use 10's and hope that Gibson will make these strings in 11's. I just love these strings and the resulting tone.

Great strings.
I've been using for many years the Gibson Vintage Pure Nickel strings. Always loved the tone. Just tried these new Gibson Les Paul 10's and am so impressed. All the qualities I love with the Vintage Pure Nickel except that with these new strings the highs are slightly rolled off and the mids slightly increased that give the tone a very slightly compressed tones. And absolutely even across the frequency range. I'm so impressed I'll be switching to these new strings. I hope they make these in 11's soon as well.
