Rev. Willy's Texas Tone

Soulful, rich, articulate and smooth, Billy Gibbons' big fat Texas tone has been described as "hot, blue, and righteous." Dunlop developed Reverend Willy's Strings in collaboration with Billy himself-aiming to make strings that offer a real punch and still stay articulate and clear when performing his legendary leads and pinch harmonics.

Every set of Dunlop Strings come packaged utilizing three levels of moisture protection and sealed in a VCI Fresh Technology (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) bag to guarantee that your strings arrive as fresh as the day they were made. Sweetwater guitarists don't hesitate to recommend Dunlop strings!

Love these, easy bends up to 3 steps
These served me well, and made all the bends much easier to play. One con is that they make bends easier to play, so they have helped me develop a softer touch on my fret hand lol.

I came from a skinny top / heavy bottom set, plus a floating bridge, so I had to loosen the spring claw and remove some extra strings to get the bridge level, but it was worth it. I went back to a skinny/heavy set recently and regret it, both for the work to reverse the bridge setup and my inability to bend those strings (compared to these).
my go too! period
love these….they don t break when bending the high e ….and play so easy. why make it so hard!

The Best
Best Lead Guitar Strings I've Ever Played!!!
Improved my playing.
Tried other .008 and .007 gauge strings and these are the only ones I will use now. Unlike other strings which seem hard and sharp, these have a soft feel that makes it easy to play for hours. Never had one break on me in over 2 years of using them and they seem to last longer than other brands.
These strings have done more for my guitar playing than anything else.
.7 Gauge is incredible. They are so loose they take a bit of getting used to but after a few months of playing them I am a totally different lead guitar player. Its just so ridiculously EZ to bend and vibrato it makes me feel like I'm some kind of super hero. It seems tragic to me that I started out playing heavy strings and I never wanted to drop the tuning down so I didn't get bends and vibratos down for years, when really vibrato is the magic that makes a note sound like more than just a note. Vibrato is the first thing I should have learned and these .7 gauge strings make it EZ without tuning down your guitar. I can bend and shake these strings all day without ever tiring out my hands.

for lead guitar playing absolutely YES. They give you superhuman bending and vibrato capabilities.
