Get in Your Xone with Next-level MIDI Control

Across software, hardware, virtual tools, and physical control points, the ongoing evolution of the DJ landscape is pushing the art form to ambitious echelons of mixing magic, and the club-trusted professionals at Allen & Heath are leading the charge — enter, the Xone:K3. This third-gen entry in A&H’s esteemed K-line of Xone-series devices blends cutting-edge connectivity, versatile customization options, and malleable MIDI management into a single spot. Across 52 physical controls, MIDI CC and Note information can be assigned to up to 174 controls for each of its 3-layer architecture, spanning endless encoders, vertical faders, rotary pots, and RGB-backlit buttons. For the techno titans among Sweetwater’s DJs and producers, the Allen & Heath Xone:K3 is an essential upgrade to their stage and studio setups, enhancing Xone-driven ecosystems with the powerful pliability of A&H’s X:Link connectivity. And thanks to its class-compliant USB-MIDI port, controlling systems across macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices is a breeze — no drivers required.

Ferocious yet flexible performance possibilities

In a word, efficiency is the name of the Xone:K3 game — and optimizing efficiency without compromising creativity, ergonomics, or workflow fluidity is Allen & Heath’s specialty. Each of its 30 buttons (as well as the encoder push-switches) is backlit with RGB LEDs to give you instant visual confirmation of your mapping choices, as well as which of its three fully independent layers you’re using. Each button is also capable of both MIDI CC and Note assignments. All 12 of the rotary pots, as well as the four 60mm upfaders, exclusively process MIDI CC signals, while the hexad of endless encoders pulls double duty, handling MIDI CC information in its rotational capacity, adding simultaneous CC and Note signal processing to the mix when you use the encoders’ push-button functionality.

Effortlessly tailored to your workflow

Whether you’re running your Xone:K3 straight into your DAW or adding it to the star topology setup of multiple K3 units, hybrid haymakers are yours to wield, with expansive compatibility covering the Xone:96, 43C, PX5, and 23C mixers via X:Link or USB-C connections. And since the K3 utilizes a PoE (power-over-ethernet) protocol, cable clutter is summarily avoided. Considering the versatility and extensive range of the Xone:K3, Allen & Heath spared no effort in making your experience as frictionless as possible, thanks to the company’s Xone Controller Editor app. This free-to-download support is your one-stop shop for all things K3 customization, placing file management, layer customization, file porting, library stewardship, MIDI data, mapping arrangement, RGB-color feedback, and more in one place.

Reviews

From Starter Controller to Unlocked Potential
I bought the Xone K3 at the end of March 2026 to use alongside my DDJ-FLX4. The capabilities it opened up are practically endless. I was considering upgrading to a FLX10 but space and money were limited. After some research, this was the best solution for me and if money and space were no issue, I would choose the Xone K3 all over again. 4 deck drops? No problem. Want to use stems? Easy. Access to more fx? Of course. With a little internet searching on programming, I got the Xone K3 up and running in no time and customized exactly how I want to use it. Wonderfully powerful and flexible MIDI controller in a compact, well-built unit.
Why can't all controllers be built this well?
There is nothing about this that feels cheap, it is solid metal and very robust. On screen, it looks like a TV remote, but it is actually big and roomy. Buttons and knobs all feel great. The X Link is great to attach to your A&H mixer. Works excellently with Virtual DJ
Things I wish for:
I still find myself wanting to reach for a jog wheel, which is not practical for the formfactor.

There is no audio out on this. That includes a headphone jack for monitoring. You'll need to have a mixer or output device to DJ with this. The K2 had audio outs.

Great job Allen & Heath!
