RE-style Chorus Meets Sepia Precision
With the Pope Audio Dirty-C Sepia Module, Karno brings one of the most iconic chorus effects ever created to its groundbreaking Sepia ecosystem. Unlike digital emulations, the Sepia ecosystem uses real-world components to capture the exact character and vibe of the original RE-style hardware. That said, thanks to advanced digital control, dialing in the perfect settings is as easy as using a desktop, tablet, smartphone, or plug-in application. Furthermore, Sepia integrates seamlessly with your setup, allowing you to route any signal at any stage, just like standard analog outboard gear, console inserts, or software plug-ins. Additionally, you get an effect Rate-Depth control, a Dry/Wet blend knob, and a hi-Z instrument input. You also get three dedicated modes — Vibrato, RE501, and Ring Mod — each offering subtly different variations on the chorus effect. And with instant recall, your settings are always right where you left them. Melding painstakingly re-created analog circuitry with digital control, the Pope Audio Dirty-C Sepia Module delivers everything from shimmering modulation to more extreme three-dimensional effects, infusing every track with the unmistakable vintage character that engineers have trusted for generations.
Note: This product is a Sepia Module and requires a Karno L6 Rack to operate. Moreover, it is not compatible with 500 Series equipment. Please call your Sweetwater Sales Engineer if you have questions.

Delivers authentic analog sound
Karno’s Sepia is a modular system that allows studios to significantly expand their processing capabilities without the need for multiple hardware units. The system comprises a vast selection of Sepia processing Modules, many of which are from industry-leading manufacturers, along with a host chassis that also houses your I/O. What sets Sepia apart is its analog-based ecosystem. Instead of relying on digital emulations, Sepia Modules use the same tubes, transformers, opto elements, and FET circuits as their full-size counterparts.
Analog sound with digital convenience
While Karno’s Sepia ecosystem delivers authentic analog sound, it’s 100% digitally controlled. It supports most major control protocols, including HUI, EUCON, MIDI, and OSC, allowing you to take command using a wide range of devices. Sepia works seamlessly with desktop, tablet, smartphone, and plug-in applications, and it integrates effortlessly with a variety of consoles and hardware controllers. Here at Sweetwater, we’re thrilled by how you can adjust Sepia’s settings like a plug-in in a DAW while also benefiting from software-driven automation, recallability, and routing flexibility.
