If you have Steinberg’s VST Connect Pro on your system, you can record anyone, anywhere. This remote recording software enables you to capture up to 16 channels of audio at up to 192kHz directly to your Steinberg DAW, even if the performer is miles away. It’s a breeze to use. The performer installs a free copy of VST Connect Performer — a license-free, DAW-agnostic application — on their system, and you take remote command of the session via VST Connect Pro. You and the performer can see and speak to one another, while you maintain control over the cue mix and talkback level at both ends of the connection. And since you’re only receiving audio and not sending it (VST Connect Pro isn’t a 2-way collaboration tool), latency is a non-issue.
