Anytime Recording, Harnessed with Hi-fi Heritage

With Link I/O, Fender’s hi-fi heritage is masterfully distilled into a pint-sized powerhouse of a USB audio interface, merging studio-caliber quality with complete portability. Its streamlined construction and intuitive interfacing span just three ports: a 1/4-inch audio input, a 3.5-millimeter monitoring output, and a USB-C port. The latter accommodates bidirectional audio, effortlessly integrating into any arrangement, including smartphones, tablets, and Mac or PC laptops and desktops. Fender outfitted the Link I/O with an input stage that channels the unwavering character of their world-famous amplifiers and instruments, impressing Sweetwater’s touring artists and studio-recording experts with its blistering 24-bit/96kHz audio support. Not only does this ensure that your on-the-fly recordings and inspiration-capturing moments are documented with unrelenting detail and nuance, but this means your workflow is seriously streamlined, removing the hurdles and time constraints that lesser-quality demos would require via re-recording parts or post-recording processing. With near-zero latency, an integrated input meter, and the satisfying tactility of the precise input-level knob, any active or passive instrument is ready to record straight to your device, any time, anywhere.

Fender Link I/O Features:

  • Mobility-minded form factor packs high-fidelity recording into a portable powerhouse
  • No-frills design prioritizes quality and on-the-go versatility via intuitive arrangement and minimal visual distraction
  • Included 1/4-in. input accommodates active and passive instruments with staggering accuracy
  • Onboard 3.5mm (1/8-in.) monitoring output provides instant hi-fi listening for your practice or demo needs, from headphones to speakers
  • USB-C connection supports 2-way USB-audio for seamless interoperative use with stationary or mobile recording setups built around PC, Mac, smartphone, and tablet options
  • Input stage intentionally reimagines the dynamic response of Fender’s world-class amplifiers, ensuring 24-bit/96kHz audio is captured with detail and hallmark Fender character

Reviews

Excellent Interface
I got the Fender Studio app on my IPad. I tried a less expensive audio interface between my soundboard and iPad. That didn't work. The Fender Link I/O works great. I can record a track, then listen to it on headphones as I record another track. I'm just starting to learn what else it's capable of. Works with Garage Band too.
Music background: Guitar and percussion etc. for half a century.
Does exactly what it is supposed to
The Fender Link I/O does exactly what I expected it to. I was able to interface with my Fender Studio and it worked perfectly. Fender Studio was able to pick it up pretty quickly and the sound quality coming through did not really have much lag at all, at least not any discernible lag. I had a guitar and bass track laid out after connecting it the same day I received it and it sounded fantastic. Would highly recommend for home recording. I have only tried it with a windows PC so not sure how it is when connecting to a phone or tablet, but would assume the experience is similar if not the same.
Music background: Bassist, guitarist, occassional drummer and vocalist
Great device!
This works well with the Fender Studio app. Check back for updates on the software as they can greatly impact the usefulness of this product!
Small and simple
I run this into my computer when I don't feel like lugging around my larger rig. It's perfect for some mobile recording/DAW jamming. I have not experienced any latency. No regret on this purchase.
