This is a crucial component to using the Meris pedal IMO (unless you're using something else in a similar fashion). Onnects right to the expression jacks on the peals to send and receive midi messages. I have mine connected to my midi controller and it works great. Can send any set of command to multiple pedals individually or simultaneously. Have been able to create some great presets switching different combinations of the Meris pedals in and out as well tons of control commands to any or all of the pedals via my midi controller and this little box. It's actually really small and does not take up much space on the board and Can even be mounted underneath your board due to its compact size. Works great with a WIDI adapter or a midi / USB interface cable for using the desktop pedal editors. Nothing needs to be unplugged as its all based on the midi channel the pedal is set to. The only down side is I wish it had 5 ports instead of 4 to cover their whole line. But no reason they can't be daisy chained with midi cables to be able to hook up more pedals. Meris is a great company that focuses on quality. And their support is second to none. Super friendly and always giving good advice and awesome pro tips.

Meris makes great sounding, creative pedals. My objective in buying their MIDI I/O was to switch presets on my Ottobit Jr. and Enzo via MIDI.

The MIDI I/O works fine for what it is. However, the user interfaces on the Ottobit Jr. and Enzo are less than intuitive with arcane visual feedback. In addition, Meris does not offer editing software. (I found an editor created by a third party on the internet.)

After a LOT of trial and error, I was able to get my Tech 21 MIDI Mongoose to switch the presets on the Ottobit Jr. and Enzo via the MIDI I/O.

Meris could take a lesson from Source Audio on user interfaces and editing software.
