Quad Tutti: Savor the Flavor
Boasting a history as colorful as its faceplate and sound, the Wolff Audio Quad Tutti 4-channel mic/instrument preamp honors the legacy of Tutti Camarata, revered audio innovator and founder of Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood, California. Designed in collaboration with the engineering department at the legendary studio, each channel of Wolff Audio’s Quad Tutti was designed with the sonic profile of the fabled preamp created in-house by Mr. Camarata and his team. Installed in the Sunset Sound Studio 1 console, this preamp has left its inimitable imprint on countless iconic recordings. Now, the Quad Tutti serves up that coveted analog warmth and girth along with substantial headroom in a 4-channel, 1U rackmount format. Add the Wolff Audio Quad Tutti to your rack and infuse your projects with the sonic authority of a true classic.

Classic character
Designed by skilled engineers who know what it takes to capture epic performances, the Wolff Audio Quad Tutti is precision built using only top-drawer components. Spec’d with ruler-flat frequency response and custom Cinemag nickel I/O transformers, the Quad Tutti transmits vocal and instrument sources with a warmth, heft, and character that’s quite alluring, providing a perfect counterpoint to ultra-transparent preamps, such as Wolff Audio’s RefPre. Indeed, for many of the engineers at Sweetwater, having access to both of these exemplary preamps is standard equipment for every session. Fortified by the Quad Tutti’s authoritative, muscular punch, you’ll find that tracks recorded with it are easier to mix and can hold their own in busy arrangements.
Use any mic in your locker
Reflecting the immaculately engineered circuit paths within, the Wolff Audio Quad Tutti sports an uncluttered front-panel layout with each of the four channels featuring three grippy knobs, three illuminated buttons, and a combo input that is selectable for instrument/hi-Z or Mic. A stepped rotary switch is provided for repeatable input Gain adjustment from -10dB to 60dB in 10dB steps. Next is a +/-6dB Trim control for precise gain adjustment. The third knob, labeled Fader, provides continuous output adjustment up to 65dB. When it comes to mic selection, the Quad Tutti — with 65dB of gain on tap — puts your favorite low-output mics into play, making microphone selection a creative decision rather than a technical one. Polarity reverse and a “pop-free” 48-volt phantom power switch complete the control set.
