Advanced technology, organic results
The EFNOTE 3B plays like an acoustic kit because its engineers designed it to respond like one. EFNOTE's proprietary ELISE sensing processor reads force, position, and velocity across every drum pad and cymbal zone with no hot spots or dead zones, so both ghost notes and full-force strikes respond naturally. On the cymbal side, 360-degree multi-sensor detection means edge work, bow hits, and bell strikes all land exactly where you'd expect them to. The proprietary Tru-Motion hi-hat extends the same philosophy to your foot; its multi-optical sensor reads continuous pedal position across the full range of motion, resulting in wide-open washes, foot splashes, and crisp chick sounds that respond directly to your foot position. On many e-kits, you must adapt your technique to suit the instrument. On the EFNOTE 3B, the instrument adapts to your playing style.

The mighty EFD-3A module
The EFD-3A sound module packs a remarkable amount of capability into an ultralight aluminum housing. 16 named preset kits, all recorded in-house in Japan at unprocessed 48kHz/24-bit resolution, cover everything from jazz brushwork to arena-filling rock, and 34 user slots give you room to build your own. Each pad for every kit is also fully editable, with Tuning, Muffling, Pan, Ambiance send, and a 2-band shelving EQ. A touch display ensures all the most important parameters are easily accessible, and when it's time to record, a single Micro USB connection delivers 8-channel audio output, 2-channel input, and MIDI simultaneously, so every pad goes straight into your DAW on its own track, with no audio interface required. The 3B also includes a 5-pin DIN MIDI output for connection to synths and other external gear. Bluetooth handles wireless audio streaming for instant play-along with your favorite tracks, wireless MIDI connects to apps and DAWs, and dual 1/4-inch TS line outputs round out the connectivity options, letting you connect directly to a mixer or PA system. From bedroom practice to DAW recording to live performance, the EFD-3A handles it all.
Expand your sound with the EFNOTE Tools app
The free EFNOTE Tools app connects your smartphone directly to the module, letting you back up and restore your custom kits, share them with other EFNOTE players, and adjust pad levels remotely from the stage or front-of-house position. The app also opens the door to the EFNOTE Kit Library, an online collection of ready-to-play drum kits available for free download directly to your module. The EFNOTE mini’s footprint might be small, but its sonic possibilities are ever-growing.
