Suhr’s Premier Pedal Platform Combo
Suhr’s Bella range of amplifiers is designed to deliver the ultimate pedalboard platform experience, touting a rich American-style tonal foundation that seamlessly melds with any effect you can throw at it. This single-channel 44-wattt amplifier combo dons a pair of 6L6 power tubes and a trio of 12AX7 preamp tubes. This time-tested tube complement, coupled with Suhr’s masterful amplifier engineering, results in a tone that’s clearly inspired by America’s golden age of amplification, only with a firmer bass and richer, fuller-sounding cleans. It's a brilliant tonal blend of old and new that’s equally reflected in the Bella combo’s 12-inch Celestion V-type speaker. A straightforward control section consisting of a 2-band EQ and a Presence knob offers an impressive degree of tone-sculpting power, and you also get a +6dB Boost switch and treble-sharpening Bright switch. As a boutique-grade pedal platform amp, it’s only natural that the Bella’s built-in effects loop delivers a supremely clear and transparent operation — you can even use the loop’s dedicated Send/Return Level knobs to handle line-level rack gear, in addition to standard stompboxes. It’s all topped off with a half-power 22-watt mode, taming the Bella’s stout projection and allowing you to record or practice at home without rattling the windows.

Dial down the wattage with the Bella's half-power switch
Boasting 44 watts of pure handwired tube tone, the compact Bella dishes out a serious degree of decibels. Two 6L6GC power tubes provide this amp with a classic American-style sonic voice, along with a trio of 12AX7 preamp tubes to supply rich front-end saturation and power the tube-driven buffered effects loop. Looking to lay down a few tracks in your practice room or cop natural dirt without blowing out your windows? Flip the Bella down into its half-power mode for a more manageable (but still quite powerful!) 22-watt operation.
Brilliant Bright switch and +6dB Boost
In addition to its Presence, Treble, and Bass controls, the Bell’s simple yet versatile control section features two additional switches to shape your sound.
- Boost: This searing switch injects your signal with a +6dB boost at the gain stage, making it a breeze to achieve organic breakup even with lower-output vintage-style pickups. This switch can also be engaged by plugging in an optional footswitch to the jack on the Bella’s rear panel.
- Bright: The 3-position bright switch offers two different levels of brightness to choose, from a modest boost to your treble response to an all-out infusion of bell-like, chiming high end. This switch can also be flipped off to completely remove it from the Bella’s circuit.
Versatile and transparent-sounding effects loop
Suhr tells Sweetwater that the Bella was designed from the ground up to be the ultimate pedal platform, so it’s no surprise that this amp comes equipped with a superlative tube-driven effects loop. Thanks to its independent send and return controls, this flexible loop accommodates both standard stompboxes and line-level rack. From reverb to delay to modulation and beyond, the Bella’s effects loop integrates your favorite effects with the utmost clarity and transparency.
Suhr: the pinnacle of craftsmanship, playability, and tone
Suhr doesn’t just build handcrafted, boutique-quality instruments and amplifiers — the company creates exceptional tools that fuel musical dreams and artistic passions. John Suhr began crafting custom guitars in the mid-1970s, and by the dawn of the 1980s, he was building made-to-order Pensa-Suhr instruments for a who’s who of top musicians. In the 1990s, John collaborated with celebrated rig builder Bob Bradshaw to design the now-legendary CAA 3+ and 3+SE preamps and the CAA OD-100 amplifier. In 1997, after a stint as senior master builder for Fender’s Custom Shop, John founded his own company, a decision that enabled him to bring to fruition products of unrivaled quality, detail, and craftsmanship. Today, the Suhr name is synonymous with prestige; a guitar, bass, or amplifier with the Suhr marque garners instant respect. With elite players such as Mateus Asato, Reb Beach, Scott Henderson, James Norbert Ivanyi, Andre Nieri, Pete Thorn, Ian Thornley, Doug Aldrich, and Andy Wood on the company’s roster, you can be certain that your Suhr places you in esteemed company.
