Achieve Killer Guitar Tone Without an Amp

Inject life into your digital guitar processor with the ISP Technologies Vector FS8. In Full Range mode, this 175-watt bi-amplified speaker delivers a flattering full-range guitar sound that will invigorate your amp simulations without coloring your signal. You can also transform the Vector FS8 into a standard guitar cabinet with the flip of a switch, making it the perfect platform for your pedalboard or preamp. The Vector FS8 makes a superb stage monitor — it features a 40-degree upwards tilt to direct the sound towards your ears and a pair of inputs for monitoring vocals. The Vector FS8 is housed in a durable Baltic birch cabinet.

FRFR amplification is tailor-made for amp modelers

If you use a digital effects processor or amp modeling software to create your tone, a traditional guitar amplifier will produce coloration that is undesirable. For example, playing a clean American-sounding amp simulation through a British stack doesn't sound like a clean American-sounding amp. It sounds like a clean American-sounding amp played through a British stack. To eliminate this problem, you need FRFR (full-range, flat-response) amplification. An FRFR system like the ISP Technologies Vector FS8 is clean and accurate — much like a PA or studio monitoring system. It preserves the sound of your amp/cab simulation without adding additional character.

DAA technology delivers great tone at all volumes

The ISP Technologies Vector FS8 is loaded with DAA (Dynamic Adaptive Amplifier) technology, so it provides great tone at all volumes. At Sweetwater, we found that this powered cabinet retains its tone even when it's clipping, without any trace of harshness. The Vector FS8 features a high-performance 8" Beyma woofer and 1" silk-dome tweeter in a coaxial configuration, delivering round lows and smooth highs up to 20kHz when in Full Range mode. When in Guitar Cab mode, the Vector FS8 exhibits excellent midrange response with a smooth roll-off at 4kHz.

Reviews

Almost perfect! Loud, clear, even, NOT scooped.
I've had a pair of these FS8's for about a year. I compared them against the Headrush 108's and the much heavier (double the weight) Mission Gemini 1. These have a very even and clear sound that is NOT scooped like the Headrush. They punch WAY above their weight class. I play with an extremely loud rock drummer and these keep up. They sound good on a big stage, too.

My only gripe is the tiny input level knobs. They are black on black and are difficult to see what the level is set to.

I use them with a Fractal FM3 modeler.

AMAZING!!!
I am a touring musician that plays about 170+ shows a year. I use a Fractal FM9. I went back and forth on which FRFR speaker to use as I play a lot of shows with IEM's but have some needs for a FRFR speaker set up as well. I did tons of research and talked with a lot of my piers as well as the gear chat rooms and finally decided to pull the trigger on a pair of these. The only hesitation I had was that some people said they weren't loud enough. Well if they aren't loud enough, you are deaf. These things are freaking LOUD! I just got back from a 10 day run with them and I was blown away. We played a bunch of festivals with big stages and a lot going on. They preformed incredibly. I never got my Fractal output past 50% with the volume on the speaker at 50%. At half gain on a big stage with big crowds our bass player was asking me to turn down. If someone tells you these aren't loud enough they have lost their mind and hearing. They are really loud!

As for quality of sound . . . they are crystal clear with a slight mid forward presence compared to my Adams A7X which is where I dial in my sound. Dollar for dollar these are an amazing choice and you will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend these USA built FRFR speakers.

Exactly what I have been looking for
I don't usually leave reviews, but there were so few for this item and I thought it might help others who might be in a similar position.

I have a pedalboard which includes a Strymon Iridium that, up until now, I had mainly just used at church. I was looking for a FRFR cab/speaker that was small (but well built and preferably American made) for use at home. I also wanted something that didn't have an overwhelming number of features or knobs to mess with. My only other experience with a FRFR speaker was a line 6 power cab that I used briefcase with a line 6 HX stomp, which I sold before getting the Iridium. I sold both units because I felt like I had spent so much time fine-tuning/obsessing over parameters in order to get a good sound and just ended up being disappointed with the outcome (tone-wise). Plus, the power cab seemed like it was fairly cheaply built. That said, this was before i discovered York Audio impulse reaponses.

What I appreciate about the ISP FS8 is that it sounds great, looks nice, seems to be very well built, and was made in Michigan, where I live. I was looking for something that would perfectly reproduce the sound that I was getting from the iridium through the headphone jack, which it does. It is also simple to use. You really just plug into it, turn it on, and set the volume. I was worried about it just being an 8" speaker but it seems to have plenty of depth/bass. I also like that it is angled as the sound is more direct/less muffled.

To be honest, with this setup I am probably the most pleased that I have ever been (I have had different Marshall amps, a vox ac15 and a fender deluxe reverb). With the iridium (especially after getting impulse responses from York Audio) and this new ISP FS8, I have all the different sounds that I have wanted for so long coming from a small unit and at bedroom level volumes. I love that you don't have to crank it for it to sound great. I haven't tried turning it up too loud because i have it in my bedroom and like lower volumes at home.
Solid FRFR powered cabinet for an Amp Modeler.
Excellent sound quality and well built, for a partly reasonable price if you compare it to some of the other guitar FRFR cabinets out there. Not a lot of videos on it sadly to hear more how it sounds, but there are reviews if you want to trust them. I did and am very happy with it. Sometime gear works out, sometimes not. I'm running my Fractal Audio FM3 into it using a Mogami XLR male female cable and it sounds really good. Better once the speaker broke in. Definitely powerful enough to play with lots of hard hitting drummers and capable of doing lower volumes very well for practice, writing and monitoring your modeler in studio. Pretty flat and very close to my recording tones. I am a hard rock player using mostly Mesa II C+ models with effects designed to melt paint and make little children cry. But the clean tones out of it are equally good. I use it mainly on the flat setting as to get the closest to my presets that I have spent lots of time setting up, but the cabinet effect setting is a good option if you want to cut out some of the high end depending on the venue you're at. Run one of these on stage and going into a good PA and you'll have a solid overall setup. And did I mention it's easy to carry and pretty light?

Isp Vector FS8 Is a Beast!
Got this for my church. Totally amazed How great this FS8 sounds. Plenty of power too. Been trying to pick the right frfr speaker for my helix and I’m glad I picked this one. So much power for a small light weight frfr. Excellent sound and punch
