A 12" Speaker Cab with Big Sound

The Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 112 Cabinet is ready to give your amplifier some serious punch. Loaded with a single 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speaker, the TubeMeister 112 is perfect for any of the TubeMeister amplifier heads. The specially designed bass reflex cabinet delivers a full-range sound with a beefy bottom end. Many players love 12" speakers for their burly, aggressive sound. And because it's got a parallel output, you can link it with a 10" cabinet (if your amp allows) for a sweet combination of definition and girth. Lightweight, big sound, and durably built, the Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 112 is ready to rock.

Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 112 Guitar Speaker Cabinet Features:
  • 60-watt 1 x 12" guitar speaker cabinet that delivers full-range, robust sound
  • 1 x 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speaker provides classic tones with rich midrange
  • Lightweight and easy to transport
  • The perfect size for micro heads and studio use
Grab the Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 112 Cabinet and start rockin' out!

Reviews

I own it
I have this cab and I am real happy with the purchase. I have it hooked up to a 30w Bogner amp and the pair sounds awesome. If you are a fan of the V30 speaker; this is a great buy.
Music background: Have been playing since the 70’s, should be way better. Have loads of “vintage” guitars and amps. Bought them when they were new; lol…
It's been great so far
First off, I think all cabs are too expensive. Now, with that out of the way...

I recently got a Peavey Invective.MH head and needed a small cab for it. I was debating between a 1x12 or 1x10 cab. The price points, looks, and decent reviews made me lean towards H&K cabs. This 1x12 having a Vintage 30 is what sold me over the 1x10, being that I'm familiar with the V30. I'm really happy with my choice so far (I've only had it for 5 or 6 weeks now.)

I primarily use the Peavey/H&K cab in my living room. The Peavey is always set to either 1-watt or 5-watt, so I know I'm not pushing this cab/speaker the way some might. Despite the name the Vintage 30 speaker is rated at 60 watts and my amp's full-power wattage is only 20 watts.

This cab sounds good. It has plenty of lows which makes it sound like a much bigger cab. The build quality is good. The tolex is smooth and a dull black, similar to my (now older) Mesa 4x12 (also loaded with Vintage 30s). I haven't heard any rattles. The cab has clearly labeled in/out jacks in the back, along with 16ohms being labeled as well. I'm looking forward to taking this out somewhere and seeing how it sounds playing with others.

This is my first H&K product and I like it. If I ever need another amp or cab I will be sure to look at H&K again.
Music background: Playing since '91. Don't gig much anymore but still recording.
Must-have cab
Don't bother looking any further. This is the best closed-back 1/12" cab on the market. Why? Robust construction, fairly light weight, the classic Celestion Vintage 30 speaker, deep sound with excellent dynamic range, and wonderful value for the $$. I have 3: two with my H&K Tubemeister in a nice compact mini-stack, and one with my H&K Black Spirit 200 floor! As always great service from SW (for the last 20 years) and shout-out to my awesome sales advisor Paul Rowan. Can't miss with either!

Excellent Cabinet
I have used this cab with all of my amps for several years with no problems. I liked it so much I purchased a second one. The cabs are wired in parallel which eliminates problems with impedance when wiring two together and increases max wattage to 120. If you play hard rock/metal you will be impressed with the bass response due to the closed back and Vintage 30 speaker. This cab really comes alive and stays tight when pushed with a solid tube amp. The construction quality is very solid and should last for several decades with proper care. The speaker will need to be broken-in upon opening before those sweet harmonics are at their prime. The cab weighs in around 30 pounds making it easy for a musician to move from rehearsal to venues. One thing to consider is the width of the cab. If you have an amp head that is rather wide it will look silly hanging over each side of the cab. If that is the case, I would suggest the Hughes and Kettner 2x12. The price of this cab is fair considering an equivalent will cost more (orange, mesa boogie) If you want a professional sounding rig at a competitive price this cab will suit your needs. Guaranteed!
