All-tube Diezel sound with digital programmability
The VHX is a true all-tube Diezel head with an all-analog signal path. You can re-create the full gamut of Diezel’s famous amp tones with this setup, such as the VH4, Herbert, Hagen, Paul, and Einstein — no digital modeling required. And since everything in the Diezel VHX is controlled by digital signal processing, you’re able to program and store your gain, EQ, volume, and other settings as one of up to 99 recallable presets.
All tube, from top to bottom
This Diezel amplifier pulls no punches when it comes to all-tube tone, sporting a robust power section comprised of either American-style 6L6 tubes or the legendary British might of EL34s — both expertly integrated by Diezel's expert team of engineers to provide you with the lightning-fast attack, punchy compression, and screaming high-gain sound that's made Diezel a standard-issue amplifier among hard rock and metal guitarists. Moreover, a preamp section comprised of a whopping five 12AX7 tubes delivers an exceptionally dynamic feel, with raw, ripping saturation when you push the VHX’s front end.
DSP-based effects offer near-unlimited sonic potential
The Diezel VHX is jam-packed with an exciting array of DSP-based effects, including a noise gate, compressor, quad/polyphonic pitch shifter, delay, chorus, flanger, phaser, reverb, tremolo, and a graphic EQ. Each effect is fully tweakable, and you can place them anywhere in your post-preamp signal chain. You also get three programmable effects loops — two post-preamp and one pre-loop — for integrating your pedals and external effect processors. Plug into a cab or don’t — the choice is yours
You can plug the VHX into your favorite 4x12" cab(s) — it’s a hand-to-God 100-watt tube amp. That said, in many modern studio and stage applications you don’t need a speaker cabinet. That’s why Diezel armed the VHX with an IR-enabled DI and load box. This amp head includes 64 high-quality cabinet IRs right from the factory with Celestion V30 and G12K-100 speakers, captured using various microphones, including an SM57, an R121, a C414, and an MD421. You can fine-tune your DI tone using multiple mic positions and use Cab-less Mode to engage the built-in load box for cab-free performance. You also get a USB output for easy recording.
