Despite its deluxe combination of cedar and maple tonewoods and nylon strings, the Godin G-Tour boasts the style and feel of an electric instrument. And while its shape may be different compared to other classical instruments, there’s no question that it supplies authentic nylon-string tone. When paired with a powerful EPM Q-Discrete pickup system and a volume/tone knob duo, you’ll be well equipped to dial in the perfect sound onstage. Plus, the electronics are installed under the hood, so your G-Tour’s appearance isn’t compromised by unsightly hindrances. If you’ve never explored the wonder of classical guitar tone on a tried-and-true chassis, the Godin G-Tour from Sweetwater is your key to the kingdom.

Electric or acoustic?
Technically, the Godin T-Tour is both, but its nylon strings obviously infer the latter. Its contoured double-cut shape may replicate the style and comfortability of a modern electric instrument, but don’t be fooled: the solid cedar, hard-rock maple, and silver leaf maple tonewoods inside its hollow body propel a warm nylon tone. Without the electronics engaged, the G-Tour functions as a classical nylon guitar. Looking for a reason to start experimenting with the wonderful world of acoustic instruments? Thanks to the G-Tour, your time has come in comfort.
Inconspicuous pickup control
Hidden inside the G-Tour’s fan-braced body lies an EPM Q-Discrete active electronics system. Up top, you'll find master volume and tone knobs, ensuring you can iron out the perfect classical-inspired sound for any amped-up occasion. Best of all, the Q-Discrete lies just under the soundhole, providing a virtually electronics-free visual aesthetic while supplying massive acoustic output.
Optimized instrument hardware
Whether you decide to use the G-Tour as an acoustic road warrior or as a stage companion, its optimized hardware will ensure that you are getting the job done in any scenario. A comfortable “C”-profile neck provides that familiar electric feel while granting access to the entirety of the fretboard. Up top, sealed tuning machines allow for easy intonation adjustment and keep you in tune during extensive playing sessions. Finally, the G-Tour’s top-hat gold bridge pins and rosewood saddle create truly authentic vibrations, allowing the G-Tour to provide true tone in both acoustic and electric settings. No matter your playing style or musical preferences, the G-Tour retains its functionality as a high-performance instrument.
