Reviews

2 Year Review of Pure Honesty
2 Year Review: Throw that overpriced American junk away. The headstock repairs of Gibson, the overpriced Strat & Tele, the PRS or as I call it, the Priced Ridiculous Strat. All of it! Let the pro's waste their money advertising garbage and get yourself a REAL GUITAR! A guitar that is always there when you need her. Silky smooth neck, amazing Duncan pickups, and locking Grovers. Throw on a set of Elixir Polyweb's and your dream guitar awaits you! Best guitar for the money that you will EVER buy. Trust me! This puppy has tone for days! Want to jam with Floyd? Done! 90's grunge? Done! New Wave? Done! 80's metal? Done! Maybe you like a little country picking and grinning? Done! The 611 Hardtail is a blessing.

Do you know why it is not promoted by fancy players? Because they are scared of the big bad faux-wood companies like Gibson. Or you can go drop $ on an American fancy pants and cry when the headstock breaks. This guitar is Mike Tyson tuff, and the color options are about as rad as you can get.

You want the newer 612? Cool! You cannot fail with this new line of Pacifica's. If you just absolutely have to blow 2k at Sweetwater, then pick up some pedals, tube amps, strings, PA systems and other musical doo-hickies, because this will be the last guitar you will EVER need unless you just want every new color that comes out! Ha-ha!

Don't forget if you travel a lot to grab some double cutaway cases. Just so you know, you can get translucent purple, translucent black, root beer, and light burst for less than the price of ONE PRS or Les Paul Standard Americano. Thanks Yamaha! Thanks Jakarta, Indonesia! I'm Forever grateful for this Axe! Hurry before they get too popular with the rich folks!
Awesome
Never had a new guitar before, but it feels nice to play something other than a cheap guitar. Feels great and I absolutely love the P90 in the neck. Still toying around with some tones, but having that split coil action yields some great sounds. Both pickups sound great clean and hit with some overdrive or distortion. Action when I got it was where I liked. Solid guitar.

A true gem!
After checking it out only by my wife's request since she liked the color, I truly was amazed, of the playability, comfort, tone, and over all fun it was to play this guitar. When I saw the price the first thing I did was to look for a flaw, couldn't find one, It was truly a delight to play. This guitar shows that you don't have to break the bank to have a very good quality instrument, YAHAMA did it again!

Loaded Guitar
This guitar is just an absolute steal, absolutely loaded with features... you will not find anything this good period, a significant step up from the other Pacifica models. To begin with, the guitar is incredibly comfortable to play. The neck, finished in great vintage tone, is a very comfortable C shape, the locking Grover tuners are as stable as you can get. The electronics are out of this world Seymour Duncan Vintage P90 in the neck, and a Duncan Custom 5 Trembucker in the bridge, simple three way switch with a coil split and there is really nothing that you can't get out of this. The P90 nails Jazzy tones, great cleans and the Trembucker hits just about everything else. One volume and one tone, it does note get much simpler than that. The graphtech nut and saddles really round out the features list. Super comfortable to play and the maple top with the purple translucent finish is just really unique. I have owned this for about two years now and I still reach for this guitar consistently, it really reminds me of my Gibson Nighthawk, not that they look anything alike, but it is just so versatile and simple to dial in some great tone.
Impressive, you can't go wrong with this one
I purchased one of these in March of 2019. It is now Jul 2020. I have about 5-6 guitars that I play in regular rotation and this is one of them. This one easily takes the prize for value. There is really nothing cheap about this guitar.

The Seymour Duncan P90 and humbucker sound ultra sweet when compared to the same type of pickup on other guitars I own.

Neck has a very smooth silky feel to it. Great fret work

Basically, get this guitar while you still can.
