Alder meets maple in this revised single cut
A compelling take on the classic single cut design gives the Deluxe Atlantic Limited-edition a commanding stage presence and a familiar feel in the hands. Its comfortably contoured alder body supplies a balanced-sounding tonal foundation for this solidbody electric guitar’s electronics, resonating with equal helpings of lows, mids, and highs. The Deluxe Atlantic’s set-through 3-piece maple/walnut neck not only lends incredible sustain to your playing, but it also adds a bit of snap to your tone. The neck is capped with an easy-playing 14-inch-radius fretboard for fast and smooth playability.

Noiseless Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups
Many guitarists at Sweetwater consider the P-90 pickup to be the perfect balance between the chime and clarity of a single-coil pickup, and the midrange girth and growl of a humbucker. The D’Angelico Deluxe Atlantic Limited-edition is loaded with a pair of Seymour Duncan Stack P-90 pickups, which deliver the iconic P-90 character but without the hum or buzz you may encounter with traditional single-coil pickups. These pickups love an overdriven amp, and sound warm yet detailed when clean.
The D’Angelico legacy
After mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John D’Angelico opened his shop in Manhattan’s Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New York’s many jazz musicians over the ensuing three decades, D’Angelico and a single apprentice became New York’s foremost stringed instrument builders, creating over 1,000 treasured archtop guitars until John’s death in 1964. Following his passing, D’Angelico’s legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the D’Angelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the company’s New York roots. Today, Sweetwater is delighted to offer this fine line of distinguished instruments. D’Angelico uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the finest available materials to create playable works of art for today’s guitarist. From a modest shop in Little Italy to the world stage, D’Angelico’s dedication to quality craftsmanship ensures that this brand won’t be going dormant again any time soon.
