Luxurious Convenience and Ultimate Keyboard Protection!

Light, rigid, and built to shrug off the toughest travel conditions, the Mono Vertigo Keyboard offers their M80 Hybrid case design in a format that's perfect for your 49- or 61-note keyboard. A dual hinge design lets you load your keyboard quickly from the top or traditionally from the side, as the water-resistant Sharkskin outer shell blocks out the occasional torrential downpour. There's also a generous low-profile accessory pocket on the Vertigo Keyboard case that offers plenty of room and organization for a laptop, pedals, and cables.

Overbuilt to handle anything your gigging life throws at you

Whether you have to brave a monsoon or wade through a packed crowd on your way to the club, you're going to be glad your keyboard is safe in a Mono Vertigo Keyboard case. That's because this case features many of the innovations Sweetwater musicians love about the M80 Hybrid guitar cases, plus some unique keyboard-centric bonuses. Water-resistant might be too humble a term for the Vertigo Keyboard's outer layer, but even its heavy-duty zippers (the usual weak spot for watertight cases) won't let the rain in. Steel rivets reinforce the straps and handle, so even serious jostling won't tear anything loose. What's more, if your keyboard doesn't take up the case's full 40" width, you can drop in a spacer and use the leftover room as extra storage for bigger accessories.

Mono Vertigo Keyboard M80 Series Case Features:
  • An incredibly light yet rigid case for 49- and 61-note keyboards and controllers
  • Integral ABS panels provide hardshell case protection at a fraction of the weight
  • High-density foam bumpers keep your keyboard safe from bumps and impact
  • Dual-hinge design allows for top-loading quick access and traditional horizontal opening
  • Water-resistant Sharkskin outer shell stands up heroically to heavy rain
  • Low-profile accessory pocket includes a mesh pocket for smaller items and space for a laptop
  • Padded, steel-rivet-reinforced straps and carry handle make transportation safe and secure
  • Adjustable/removable divider lets you use leftover internal space for added storage
Get first-class protection and convenience for your keys with a Mono Vertigo Keyboard case!

Reviews

Protection that is well worth the price
I got the "Dave Smith Instruments" branded version of this Mono case over 10 years ago to replace a giant Gator road case that I was tired of lugging around twice a week. This offers amazing protection and is so much more convenient, lightweight, and smaller footprint. Backpack straps are amazing when you also need to carry your stand, or other gear at the same time.

Extremely rugged materials and build quality. Aside from some dust and a tiny bit of paint wearing off the zipper pulls, this case looks and performs just as good as it did when I bought it, and I used it to transport my DSI Prophet 08 twice a week for over 7 years straight. (It now holds my vintage Sequential Circuits MultiTrak synth when not in use).

The front storage compartment is perfect for power cables, patch cables, a sustain pedal, and a small reverb pedal.

This truly is one of those items that you "get what you pay for", and it's well worth the money. Would not hesitate to buy another one if I ever needed it.
Great for my custom uke bass
I bought a Pelican Storm case for my custom made uke sized bass. The Pelican case is great for shipping and storage, but for gigging I wanted something less bulky and cumbersome. I initially was going to look at expensive custom made leather gig bags like Glen Kronhkite. Then one day under emergency circumstances I used my friend's Korg gig bag for one gig and found that it fit the uke bass quite well, so I decided to look at keyboard gig bags. Having used Mono cases previously I knew how well made they were, so I bought the keyboard case to give it a try. The Mono case comes with padded inserts to keep keyboards from moving around, but I found that the foam insert of the Pelican case actually fits in the Mono case almost to a tee which was unexpected and very convenient. The pocket is big enough for cables, mini wireless unit, batteries and other small items. The Pelican case has a handle and wheels to roll the case along, but I like the backpack straps of the Mono case much better for comfort, convenience and quick entry and exit of the venue. If I need rock solid protection I would use the Pelican case, but the Mono keyboard case is well made and provides very good 'gig bag protection' like their guitar gig bags.

Along with my ultralight 2x12 bass combo, the Mono keyboard case allows me to hand carry all my gear in one trip and set up and tear down in less than two minutes. I was very pleased that the foam insert of the Pelican case fit the Mono case, which allows for greater flexibility. Don't be afraid to use this keyboard case for things other than keyboards.

Best Soft Case on the Market
As the title states, this is the best out there if you don't want a hard case. Fits my Prophet X and Nord Wave 2 perfectly -- anything larger would not fit. It also works for smaller 49-key boards if you include the spacers inside. I do wish there was a shoulder strap, but it's still easy to carry around. I also have a Gator GPG61 and while that bag is very well made with a shoulder strap, it's huge and bulky. Good if you carry tons of other gear in one bag, but honestly I'd rather split it up between 2 bags at that point. The Mono just feels so much more effiscient, plus it's a much tighter fit even without internal straps.
Half as many trips for load in!
I recently upgraded keyboards from a Roland Juno to a Nord Electro 6D and got this case because I was sick of lugging my road case to every gig, finding a flat spot to open it, and then storing it during the show. This case protects the keyboards just as well as the road case, and the inside compartment is actually softer and cradles the Electro better than the road case. I love the fact the pocket can hold my cables, pedal, DI box, and a couple of other items. The ability to use the bag vertically as well as horizontally is also a wonderful bit of design. I don't have to take up as much floor space during setup and tear down, I just prop the bag against my keyboard stand and slide the keyboard out. Simple!

This bag has me looking at several other Mono products because of the durability and design. Well worth the price!
Music background: Professional Musician, Educator

One of the things we love about MONO is their raw passion. Seriously - it might be hard to imagine being passionate about making gig bags and soft cases, but every time they come to Sweetwater to show off their latest creations, that message comes through loud and clear. That's what drives them to produce many of the best bags in the industry. Thin yet remarkably effective padding provides lightweight and slim protection, robust materials hold up to years of heavy use, and heavy-duty zippers won't fail on you. Even the stitching is a cut above the rest. That's the reason many gigging Sweetwater artists choose MONO, and we have access to everything! What's more, we see the same amazing design philosophy in their pedalboards and everything else they make. You can always trust MONO gear.
