State-of-the-art 2-output Expression Pedal

Armed with a state-of-the-art magnetic sensor and digital potentiometers, the Lehle Dual Expression offers ultra-precise performance, while exhibiting zero mechanical wear. This expression pedal's two outputs can control a wide range of devices, and they accommodate TS, TRS, or RTS inputs, with switchable polarity. You can also use the 10k output as a latching or momentary switch with the pedal's treadle in the toe position. Beyond that, the Dual Expression's USB port can transmit MIDI data to a computer for control over your MIDI-compatible software. The Lehle Dual Expression also boasts an optimized size and weight to ensure maximum comfort and responsiveness.

State-of-the-art magnetic sensor and digital potentiometers

Rather than relying on mechanical components like most conventional expression pedals, the Dual Expression is equipped with a state-of-the-art magnetic sensor. This ultra-precise sensor is meticulously calibrated to the pedal's built-in magnet, as well as its control range. When you rock the Dual Expression's treadle back and forth, it moves the magnet, whose distance is measured by the sensor. The pedal also employs two digital potentiometers that utilize analog voltages, yielding precise, reliable generation of expression data. We're impressed by this technology here at Sweetwater — it exhibits zero mechanical wear, ensuring a long product life with minimal maintenance or complex adjustments.

Dual outputs for controlling a wide range of devices

The Lehle Dual Expression boasts two outputs, which can control a myriad of devices with 5k–100k expression inputs. The outputs will accommodate TS, TRS, or RTS inputs, and the polarity can be switched and stored via the pedal's soft-push buttons. You can also set the Dual Expression's 10k output to work as a latching or momentary switch if the treadle is pushed in the toe position. This is great for amplifier channel switching or connecting to the switch input of a digital device. What's more, the Dual Expression's USB port can transmit MIDI data to a computer, enabling you to take command of your MIDI-compatible software.

Reviews

Could this be the best expression pedal ever?
An expression pedal may not seem like the most exciting thing to put on your pedal board, but this Lehle pedal totally changed my mind. I had head so many good things about Lehle products, but was reluctant since they aren't the cheapest around. Let me tell you... The price is worth every penny. The minute to took it out the box I knew this was a quality pedal. It's solid, and had a good weight, but it's not excessively heavy. It won't weigh down your board.

2 cool features. First, The only moving part is the pivot of the pedal itself. That's it. No pot, no string to break. It uses a magnet and sensor to detect where the pedal is. There is nothing to wear out! I will be able to pass this pedal down to my kids because it should last forever.
Secondly, you can control 2 effect parameters with this single pedal. There are two TRS jacks that can go to different pedals or effect units again saving board space and weight.

Lehle, you rock. Best in class product! Well done!

The best expression pedal you can buy
This is the best expression pedal you can buy, hands down. Smooth action and lots of options make it perfect for any pedalboard. My only gripe is that I wish they made a smaller version
Lehle's Customer Support Is Class-Leading
I have recently been exploring playing my guitar through the Archetype: Cory Wong plugin by NeuralDSP. I don't have an expensive MIDI foot-switch to control it, and all I have used so far has been the Wah and the Amps (which are fantastic). So bought the Lehle Dual Expression pedal (from another dealer, will explain in a sec), specifically because it has USB and can interface with my MacBook Pro without the need of a big fancy MIDI pedalboard.

I actually bought two expression pedals in the same week, Why? I thought for sure I would hate the travel of the Lehle compared to traditional wah-wah pedals that I'm used to. So I thought, I'll try the Lehle and the Mission in the same week. Then I realized that I needed a USB-MIDI interface with a TRS jack for the Mission. That's no big deal because I will use with some Line 6 gear that I have. Impulse-buying gets me every time.

Long story short: The sole reason I wanted to try the Lehle was for USB connectivity to my computer. I fired everything up and carefully followed the steps in both NeuralDSP's how-to video and in Lehle's how-to videos, as well as steps from various other YouTubers. The pedal would NOT connect, no matter what I tried.

I sent an email to Lehle, and, even though I knew that they couldn't support the NeuralDSP software side of things, Joki at Lehle downloaded a free trial of Archetype: Cory Wong and made a detailed video walking me through all of the connections.

Finally, I did everything exactly like his video showed, and it worked perfectly.

I'm leaving a review here just to let everyone know that Lehle's customer support is outstanding.

Lehel Dual Expression
This pedal is super precise, with more travel and control than my Dunlap mini4. This is really smooth since there is no mechanical linkage/pot to move. I got it to control the Strymon Timeline, and eventually the Strymon Mobius- I don't have the Mobius pedal yet to see how the 'dual' control works, as I am still learning the Timeline. So I bought this to grow my pedal board and it's been a game changer for the delay. It is changing where I can add delay in songs, and what I can do/express during a song. It's fun, and a really top quality, German-made piece. I have not explored the digital link yet so no comment there.
Good Performing Expression Pedal
Overall, this expression pedal performs very well and couldn't ask for anything more from it. However, the pedal has a face only a mother could love and its very disappointing how easily the band-aid tops peel off. The adhesive that holds it on is not strong.
