Honest Low End with Bluetooth
With the Behringer Truth 8S BT, you can stop the guesswork and start getting an honest picture of your mix’s low end. This 160-watt powered subwoofer houses an 8-inch, high-excursion driver, bolstered by a high-density composite enclosure that minimizes diffraction and low-frequency distortion. Beyond that, the Truth 8S BT expands on its TRS, RCA, and direct-link outputs with Bluetooth 5.0 wireless streaming, providing instant access to reference tracks straight from your smartphone. At Sweetwater, we like that this studio sub includes a variable lowpass filter and phase switch for straightforward monitor integration, along with a highpass filter on the main output that blocks frequencies below 80Hz. The Truth 8S BT offers music creators honest low-end monitoring that ends the guessing.

Behringer: a brief history
Uli Behringer showed an interest in music technology design at a young age, building his own synthesizer by the time he was 16. In 1982, Uli began studying sound engineering and classical piano at the Robert Schumann conservatory in Düsseldorf, Germany. Uli’s defining moment came when he was repairing a signal processor made by a high-end manufacturer. Despite the processor’s expensive price tag, Uli realized that its internal components could be bought for a fraction of the cost. Being a strapped-for-cash student, Uli began building his own signal processors. Before he knew it, other students began requesting equipment from him. In 1989, after being bombarded with more orders than he could handle alone, Uli created Behringer, Inc.
