Here are pics of how I used mine for mounting an isolation shield on my mic stand.

I have an isolation shield that mounts on the mic stand and I pulled out after a few years of not using it and realized I might be missing a piece because I wasn't able to mount it on the mic stand. I "could" have put another mic stand behind the one the mic is mounted on but didn't like that idea and then I found out that there are microphone stereo bars in the world and it looked to be the perfect solution and it is! Feels very sturdy and the quality is very good. Like I said I used it for a different purpose but it is a solid piece of gear.

It mounts to a stand and doesn't add any extra height and if the stand has a good foot, shouldn't cause a tip over. I do wish it was a bit longer or wider. I'm trying to hold a ribbon mic in a cage along with an SM 57 and can't really get the two mics to point exactly where I want. For a 2x12 cab, I actually end up mic'ing both speakers from the center of the cab. I only want to mic one speaker. Luckily both speakers are "the same" (two V30s), but if they were different, like in the cab I'm building with a greenback and a creamback, it won't. Probably better for Lewitt mics in a stereo set up.
