Shock Proof Microphone Clip

The WindTech SP-25 is a vibration-free microphone shockmount for virtually any application. The SP-25 reduces low frequency rumble, stage vibrations, and handling noise. SP-25 features a heavy rubber isolation ring, threaded brass insert with the US Standard 5/8" -27 thread, and a snug fit with 35 lb of microphone holding pressure. The SP-25 is for microphones 1" and up, the diameter of most handheld vocal mics.

Doesn't absorb any shock. Built very poorly.
Just got this in, hoping it would be a solution to having my broadcast arm mounted handheld picking up bumps and the like from my desk.
It completely failed; bumps are exactly as loud and as present in the sound as they were on the completely normal clip that came with the mount.
The end result is that it's just an inferior clip. The "ring" in between the clip part and the mount part is so soft that the mic actually sags on the clip when it's oriented in any way but perfectly vertical, which I guess would be fine if the shock mount worked.
The whole mount part is built very cheaply. The pivot is not smooth at all, and the part that holds the "ring" is already splitting apart.
I hope other mounts are better...
