Capture the Sweet Saturated Tape Echo of the 1970s
Imbuing your signal with the unmatched warmth and psychedelic vibe that only analog-style tape delay can provide can be elusive when working digitally. Slate Digital’s Stellar Echo SD-201 offers an expertly crafted solution, emulating an iconic 1970s tape echo unit in impeccable detail. From the comforts of your DAW, you’ll have intuitive controls that largely mirror the hardware unit and a brilliant user interface that replicates the feel of tweaking a physical tape unit in the room with you — complete with virtual tape animations when you pop the digital hood. While the unit that inspired the SD-201 performed strictly in mono, this plug-in ups the ante with a trio of mono/stereo options, including a spacious ping-pong stereo delay and a secondary “Swap” stereo delay. Furthermore, Stellar Echo SD-201 builds upon the splashy spring reverb of its hardware predecessor with Plate, Chamber, and Hall reverbs. You also get a smattering of additional sound-shaping tools, including HP and LP isolators, a Custom mode that introduces a 4th tape head, and more. Perfect for breathing a touch of vintage warmth into any project, the Slate Digital Stellar Echo SD-201 puts the Wow- and Flutter-filled flair of an all-time classic tape echo at your command.
