Built by a real player
While most didgeridoo libraries treat the instrument as a single texture to be looped or layered in the background, Soundiron’s Didgeridoos takes a different approach. It starts with William MacGavin, a soloist who has spent the past 15 years playing the instrument across rock, jazz, bluegrass, and orchestral settings, developing a contemporary style that blends traditional brass technique with modern beatbox articulation. Through MacGavin Woodworks, he handcrafted the 16 didgeridoos sampled for this library, using ethically sourced timbers selected for their acoustic character. William then worked with composer and engineer David Zagardo to capture each instrument's full dynamic range in a dry, detailed studio environment. The result is a library packed with authentic didgeridoo performances you can shape into your own.
Four independent sound layers
In addition to faithfully capturing the instrument, Didgeridoos offers powerful sound-shaping tools. Four independent sound layers let you customize your sound, and Sweetwater composers agree that Layers 3 and 4 steal the show. The Ambience layer takes the same source recordings and transforms them into 43 entirely new patches, ranging from tonal and dissonant pads to synth tones and ambient dreamscapes. Use them on their own for instant texture, or blend them into Layers 1 and 2 to add body and depth to the primary didgeridoo sounds. Finally, the Sub-Synth layer includes 10 selectable shapes and an assignable A/B crossfader, enabling smooth, performable blends between layers.

Top it all off with a convolution reverb loaded with 99 impulse responses captured from real rooms, halls, chambers, and outdoor spaces, plus 40 custom effect impulses designed to reshape the sound completely.
