A Vertical Desktop Amp with Serious Power
The Audioengine N22 Desktop Amplifier lets you use passive speakers and power-hungry headphones with an amp that fits right on your desk instead of in a rack. This compact integrated amplifier stands vertically on its integrated base, so it requires little desktop real estate, while its Class-D output stage delivers 52 watts per channel to your speakers. The N22 accepts a wide variety of audio sources, including a turntable preamp via RCA, a laptop via USB-C, or a phone via 3.5-millimeter mini-jack, and you can stream over Bluetooth aptX as well. Additionally, a discrete headphone amplifier and a volume-controlled preamp output let you switch to late-night listening or add a subwoofer when your system expands. The N22 combines an amplifier, headphone amp, and preamp into a single, compact unit.

Connect your whole setup to one small amp
Connectivity and convenience are where the N22 really earns its spot on a crowded desk. RCA, 3.5-millimeter mini-jack, USB-C, and Bluetooth aptX inputs all connect to a single chassis, and the analog inputs remain active at the same time, so your turntable and your computer can both stay connected without needing an outboard switcher. Likewise, gold-plated 5-way binding posts handle bare wire, banana plugs, spade lugs, or pins for any passive speakers between 4 and 8 ohms. On the output side, the discrete headphone amplifier gives you a clean, low-noise feed, while the variable RCA preamp output takes its level from the front-panel knob — meaning you can run a multi-source desktop stereo setup complete with a subwoofer, a second amplifier, or a wireless adapter, all from a single knob.

Audioengine N22 Features:
- Compact Class-D integrated stereo amplifier that puts speaker power, headphone drive, and preamp output on your desktop
- Rated output: 2 x 52W into 4Ω or 104W peak per channel into 4Ω (AES)
- Drives passive speakers from 4Ω–8Ω through gold-plated 5-way binding posts
- Robust connectivity including RCA, 1/8-in. (3.5mm) mini-jack, USB-C, and Bluetooth aptX
- Both analog inputs stay active, so two wired sources can stay connected without an input switch
- Integrated, discrete OPA1602 headphone amplifier drives high-impedance headphones cleanly
- Variable RCA preamp output for a subwoofer, external amplifier, or wireless adapter
- Efficient Class-D TDA 7492 output stage runs efficiently enough for the vertical chassis to cool by passive convection with no fan or oversized heatsink
- Frequency response covers full audio spectrum from 20Hz–20kHz
- Standby idle mode conserves power between listening sessions
- Protection circuitry with output current limiting, thermal over-temperature, and power on/off transient
- 100–240V AC/50Hz auto-switching external power supply
