Simple, Effective Line Mixing
Whether you’re crafting a stereo mix for a PA system or fine-tuning the playback for a restaurant or banquet hall, the TASCAM LM-8ST 8-channel stereo line mixer makes it easy. The engineering team at TASCAM outfitted this line mixer with eight stereo channels, each with two TRS inputs and a -10/+4dB level switch. On the front of the 1U chassis, you’ll find an XLR mic input for announcements paired with an independent trimpot. There are also two level controls per channel, which feed the pair of independent stereo buses. You can use the two stereo buses to output two separate mixes or send select channels to an effects chain for further processing. The TASCAM LM-8ST provides simple and effective mixing for all your line-level sources.
Includes two stereo buses for different mixes
The LM-8ST’s output architecture includes two independent stereo buses. Each bus features balanced XLR outputs alongside unbalanced RCA outputs. On the front panel, you get two master volumes per channel — one for each bus. After testing out the LM-8ST, Sweetwater Sales Engineers attest that it’s easy to craft two different mixes using the pair of buses. For example, you can dial in the perfect dry mix with the ST 1 bus. From there, use the ST 2/AUX bus to send one or more channels to an effects chain for polishing.
