Samuel Eastman cellos are made from aged tonewoods using tried-and-tested methods. The VC100’s top is hand carved from solid Chinese spruce wood, used for its stiffness and tonal qualities; the back is also carved from solid maple wood. Accomplished flutist Qian Ni founded Eastman in 1992 after graduating from the Boston University School of Music.
