Advanced Performance Series design
Jupiter lavishes its Performance Series instruments with fanatical attention to detail, producing horns with exceptional sound, performance, and overall craftsmanship. The baritone sax is a large instrument that can be unwieldy in the hands of younger players, so the JBS1100 comes with a detachable floor peg. And as it is often a second instrument for alto or tenor players, Jupiter has paid particular attention to the key-layout ergonomics to ensure fluid ease of reach with light, fast, and responsive action powered by blued steel needle springs — the professional standard for durable, perfectly tensioned keywork. Featuring a full range from low A to high F#, the JBS1100 works seamlessly as a system, its state-of-the-art keywork guaranteeing consistent, stable seating of the Italian Pisoni pads — another industry standard. The JBS1100 also features metal resonators that work in tandem with the Pisoni pads to provide a leak-free, airtight fit while delivering a big, commanding tone that brings your notes to life. With the JBS1100, your playing will exude confidence on the concert stage as the instrument’s gorgeous, sumptuous finish gleams in the spotlight.
Customizable to your personal playing style
Saxophones designed for the up-and-coming player should provide a smooth transition from student models. They should also introduce professional features that enhance the myriad of playing techniques, from embouchure and wind control to fingering, that collectively produce the unique sound you are developing. As exceptional as it is accessible, the Jupiter JBS1100 is an ideal instrument for advancing baritone players, providing a primed canvas for forging your signature sound. To that end, Jupiter has made the JBS1100 highly adaptable so that it fits you like a glove. The keys (including palm keys) are adjustable, as well as the seesaw body octave key, bumper felts, and metal thumb rest. The result is a saxophone with keywork that falls right under your fingers, ready to instantly convey every nuance of musical expression in your playing. Saxophonists who play both jazz and classical can choose an appropriate mouthpiece and reed to further customize their horn for the music at hand. However you set it up, the Jupiter JBS1100 is an impeccably designed and crafted instrument that sounds great, is comfortable to play, and continuously evolves along with you on your musical journey.
