Elevated Modular Support Meets Secure Transportation
When Make Noise debuted their previous 7U CV Bus Case, they’d devised an accommodating travel case whose rugged housing and removable lid meant patch cables could stay connected during travel, tightly sealed to prevent dust and grime from damaging sensitive module components. Now, the 7U 4-Zone CV Bus Case ports over the original's storage capacity, CV tools, and transportation security while introducing even greater modularity to master your modular magic. Synthesists at Sweetwater are enamored by Make Noise’s new Multi-Zone design, which utilizes their 4-Zone Power Bus Board to give you the flexibility of four independent bus boards with the convenience of needing only one in the case. Dedicated DC power supplies and accompanying ground-return paths are available for each zone at ±12 volts (all sharing the +5-volt DC power), while a suite of new tools has been introduced to the CV Bus for even greater control. Toss in versatile connectivity options and real-time LED indicators and you’ve got a performance powerhouse that won’t compromise on safeguarding your Eurorack gear.

More than just a case
Flexible and comprehensive security may be of the utmost importance to the traveling synthesist, but why stop there? Make Noise understands that if your modules are going to live in one spot, then you should get as much mileage as possible from a case. So, they’ve outfitted it with a more robust CV Bus than its predecessor, arming it with LED indicators to provide real-time feedback that helps you keep track of patching while using shorter cables. You’ll also find useful, flexible CV tools like Voltage Math. Its circuit resembles Make Noise’s 0-Coast, summing inputs for a single output accompanied by an attenuverter for precise adjustments. Moreover, the input is normalled to a DC offset, allowing for painless level-shifting, voltage-mirroring, and more.

Flexible sonic command
On the opposite end of the CV Bus, you’ll find a flexible assortment of audio management options, including a premier Stereo Line Driver to instantly convert modular synth signals to line-level compatibility. Dual mini-jack inputs and outputs let you choose between mono and stereo sonics — a fantastic option for managing effects, creating delays, and more. You also get a multimodal TRS line and headphone jack that’s AC-coupled and designed with a built-in limiting circuit to prevent damage to your ears or sound systems, in case you want to send to a PA from this jack. Each case includes 120 sliding M2.5 nuts with accompanying screws to instantly build your ideal fly case — something we don’t say jokingly, seeing as Make Noise thoughtfully engineered this case to be compatible with most airline carry-on regulations.
