Mega-S Support with Room to Grow Your Sound

Since its inception, Erica Synths has demonstrated nothing but the utmost commitment to sonic innovation, superlative synthesis, and support for artists at any point along their respective aural odysseys. With the Megarack S, Erica Synths offers a rock-solid monolith of Eurorack support, meticulously crafted for everyone from seasoned synthesists to those only just beginning their Eurorack journey and looking for reliable, long-haul support. This enclosure’s immense 756HP capacity is divided across six ergonomically designed rows of 126HP each, with depths varying between 60 and 120 millimeters, providing exceptional flexibility in an arrangement that has Sweetwater’s synthesists greatly impressed. Erica Synths adorned the Megarack S with custom rails that feature threaded inserts for maximum security, supplying power in 9A/+12V, 4.5A/-12V, and 1A/+5V configurations to support versatile modular arrangements. Plus, the top surface includes two powered, 4-pin XLR connectors for gooseneck lights to make sure your sound is never out of sight in any studio or performance environment. In fact, our good friends at Erica Synths recommend grabbing a few LittLite 18X-4-LED 18-inch Gooseneck LED Lamps for a reliable, unobstructed view of your Eurorack array.

Erica Synths Megarack S Features:

  • Robust all-aluminum housing provides rock-solid support with long-term reliability
  • 756HP space is divided across 6 rows of 126HP for flexible configurations that accommodate large, existing rigs while providing plenty of room to grow
  • Ergonomic design allows for versatile configurations to meet your synthesis needs, with rows at varying angles that won’t compromise accessibility
  • Onboard power supplies 9A/+12V, 4.5A/-12V, and 1A/+5V to maximize modular possibilities
  • Custom-designed rails feature threaded inserts to keep your modules locked in place, yet painless to remove
  • Top-surface 4-pin XLR connectors accommodate gooseneck lights for added support in studio and stage settings

Reviews

absolute beast of a rack
Aside from the lack of portability here, this unit is pretty much perfect. Looks great, has tons of power, and is perfect for people with big eurorack rigs who are tired of having cable spaghetti running from one smaller rack to the next. I bought this to replace several smaller Doepfer cases as well as a Monorocket travel case. I sold the others but kept the Monorocket just in case I needed to travel. (Right now I am using it as a euro drum machine to keep space open in the Megarack.) This is one of the ultimate cases for people who primarily jam out at home and want their modular collection condensed to one rack. Yes, it is crazy expensive, but Eurorack isn't a cheap hobby to begin with. I could see myself using this for decades into the future as long as it holds up electronically. I don't have it fully stuffed yet but I will probably by the end of the year. If you are wanting to put on shows and travel around, I do not recommend this. It's way too big and heavy when modules are installed. Also, you would have to homebrew some sort of travel option for safety if you were to move it, or keep the original box which is freaking huge.

tl;dr - are you staying home? Yes, this rules. If you wanna play gigs, nah look for something else.
